The Future of Healthcare (FoH) project delivers three interconnected core results designed to prepare healthcare professionals for the ethical and effective integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into everyday practice.
1. Methodological FoH Framework
The FoH Framework is a structured, evidence-based methodology defining the essential future competencies required for healthcare professionals working with AI-enabled technologies.
Developed through focus groups, research, and transnational collaboration, the framework identifies:
• Core AI literacy competencies (prompting, interpreting AI outputs, evaluating reliability)
• Ethical and legal principles for responsible AI use
• Human-centred soft skills (communication, empathy, teamwork, critical thinking)
• Professional responsibility and decision-making boundaries in AI-supported environments
The framework serves as the conceptual backbone of the project and guides all further development.
2. Foh Digital Learning Platform
The FoH Platform translates the framework into practice through an interactive digital learning environment offering six structured modules:
1. AI Fundamentals
2. AI Tools in Healthcare
3. Data Analysis and Management
4. Ethical and Legal Aspects
5. AI Tools Evaluation
6. Communication and Teamwork
The platform combines technical AI competencies with human-centric skills to ensure healthcare professionals can safely analyse, interpret, question, and communicate AI-generated results.
It supports digital readiness, resilience, and innovation in VET, aligning healthcare education with rapidly evolving labour market demands.
3. VET Worksshops Implementation
The FoH Framework and Platform will be piloted through VET workshops across partner countries.
These workshops will:
• Test the framework in real educational settings
• Collect feedback from healthcare learners and professionals
• Validate the relevance and applicability of AI competencies
• Strengthen practical readiness for AI-supported clinical environments
The pilot phase ensures that FoH is not only theoretical, but directly applicable in vocational healthcare training.
