The session brought together participants with diverse professional backgrounds to discuss the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare education and professional practice.

The discussion was highly engaging and, at times, lively, reflecting the importance and complexity of the topic. Participants shared valuable perspectives on how AI tools are already influencing healthcare practice, vocational education, and higher education, as well as the challenges that healthcare professionals face in adapting to these changes.

A central part of the conversation focused on the competencies healthcare professionals need in order to work effectively and responsibly with AI. Participants discussed the ability to interpret AI-generated results, identify risks and limitations, and apply sound professional judgement in patient care settings.

Another important area of discussion concerned ethics, responsibility, and trust. Participants reflected on the boundaries of AI use in clinical decision-making and emphasized that human oversight must remain central in healthcare. They also highlighted the growing importance of communication skills, especially when explaining AI-supported decisions to patients in a clear, empathetic, and trust-building way.

The FoH partnership would like to sincerely thank all participants for their active contribution, openness, and inspiring exchange of experiences. The insights gathered during this focus group will directly support the further development of the FoH Framework and the design of future training modules for healthcare professionals and learners.
