FoH Focus Group Successfully Implemented in Ankara by BOSEV

Healthcare Experts Contribute to the FoH Framework

As part of the Future of Healthcare (FoH) Erasmus+ project, BOSEV – Büyük Ortadoğu Sağlık ve Eğitim Vakfısuccessfully organised a national focus group session in Ankara, contributing to Work Package 2 (WP2): Methodological FoH Framework for Future Skills Requirements. The session was implemented in line with the common methodology and guidelines developed within the project consortium, ensuring consistency with focus group activities carried out across partner countries.
The focus group brought together healthcare professionals and experts to discuss the current use of artificial intelligence in healthcare environments, the competency gaps emerging from digital transformation, and the ethical and professional responsibilities associated with AI-supported decision-making in patient care. The discussion also explored the importance of communication skills, professional judgment, and human-centred approaches when integrating AI technologies into healthcare practice.
This activity represents a key step in gathering practice-based insights from healthcare professionals, which will directly inform the development of the FoH Framework—a competence-based guideline designed to support the ethical, effective, and human-centred adoption of artificial intelligence in vocational healthcare education and training. e.

Contributing to a European Evidence Base

The Ankara focus group forms part of a broader series of consultations being conducted across the FoH partner countries. Through these sessions, partners collect qualitative insights from healthcare professionals, VET educators, and practitioners in order to identify real-world competence needs, ethical considerations, and organisational challenges related to AI adoption in healthcare.

Following each national focus group, partners document and analyse the results using a shared reporting structure. These findings will then be aggregated and synthesised at consortium level, allowing the partnership to identify recurring themes, cross-country similarities, and emerging competence gaps. The resulting analysis will serve as the empirical foundation for defining the core competence areas and learning outcomes of the FoH Framework, which will later guide the development of training modules and the digital learning platform of the project.

The engagement of the healthcare professionals directly in the research process, the FoH project ensures that its outputs reflect practical needs from the healthcare sector, supporting vocational education providers in preparing future healthcare workers for the responsible use of AI technologies.
