Collaboration with Marketing students from Munster Technological University (MTU)

As part of the Future of Healthcare (FoH) Erasmus+ project, we were delighted to collaborate with Marketing students from Munster Technological University (MTU) during an interactive online session dedicated to project communication and dissemination. This session created an excellent opportunity to connect academic learning with real European project implementation, allowing students to engage directly with a live Erasmus+ initiative addressing the future of digital health and vocational education.

During the session, Ercan KÜÇÜKARSLAN introduced the vision and objectives of the FoH project, highlighting its focus on strengthening vocational education and training (VET) in healthcare through responsible and human-centred use of artificial intelligence. Participants explored how AI technologies are transforming healthcare environments and why communication strategies must emphasize ethical use, transparency, and patient-centred values when introducing these innovations to healthcare professionals and learners.

Special attention was given to the project’s dissemination and exploitation strategy, explaining how European projects translate research, innovation, and training outputs into accessible communication materials for stakeholders such as healthcare professionals, educators, VET institutions, and policy actors. Through this exchange, students gained insight into the importance of strategic communication in EU-funded initiatives and the role that dissemination plays in ensuring that project results reach and benefit a wide audience across Europe.

Supporting WP5 – Dissemination & Exploitation

Following the session, the MTU Marketing students will actively contribute to Work Package 5 – Dissemination, Exploitation, and Sustainability of the FoH project. Under the academic guidance of Dr. Valerie McGrath (Grad MII, CDMP, FHEA), they will support the development of several key communication components that will strengthen the project’s visibility and outreach at European level.

Their work will include contributing to the design and refinement of communication tools, visual identity elements, and outreach materials that will be used throughout the project’s lifetime. This may involve creating digital communication assets, helping shape the project’s branding and storytelling approach, and supporting engagement strategies for social media, events, and stakeholder networks. By participating in these activities, students will experience first-hand how dissemination activities are planned and implemented within international research and innovation projects.

This collaboration represents a strong example of learning by doing, where students can apply their marketing knowledge in a real project environment while contributing to the visibility and impact of a European initiative addressing the future of healthcare education. At the same time, the FoH project benefits from the creativity, fresh perspectives, and communication skills of the students, strengthening its ability to reach diverse audiences and promote responsible AI adoption in healthcare training.
