FoH Project Promoted at EDULEARN26 International Conference
The Future of Healthcare (FoH) project was proudly promoted at the 17th International Conference on Education and New Learning Technologies (EDULEARN26), held in Spain, one of Europe’s leading international conferences dedicated to innovation in education, digital transformation, and lifelong learning.
During the conference, Dr Valerie McGrath and Dr Kristin Brogan from Munster Technological University (MTU) presented their research paper entitled “SimPRENA: A Simulation-Driven Approach to Strengthening Healthcare Responses to Aggression and Violence.” The presentation showcased the achievements of the Erasmus+ SimPRENA project, highlighting innovative simulation-based approaches that strengthen healthcare professionals’ ability to prevent, recognise, and respond to aggression and violence in healthcare settings.
The conference provided an excellent opportunity to introduce another important European initiative currently being coordinated within the consortium—the Future of Healthcare (FoH) project. Participants were presented with the FoH project flyer and invited to explore how the project is preparing healthcare professionals for the responsible integration of Artificial Intelligence into healthcare education and practice.
The FoH project focuses on identifying future competence requirements, developing an evidence-based competency framework, creating six specialised training modules, and establishing an innovative online learning platform to support vocational education and continuous professional development in AI-enabled healthcare environments.
Promoting FoH at international conferences such as EDULEARN26 contributes to increasing the project’s visibility among researchers, educators, healthcare professionals, and policy makers while fostering new opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange across Europe.
