Strengthening AI Competencies and Advancing Healthcare Training
On 9 October 2026, partners of the Erasmus+ Future of Healthcare (FoH) project came together for an online partnership meeting to review progress and coordinate the next stages of project implementation.
A key focus of the meeting was the ongoing work under Work Package 2 (WP2), particularly the development and refinement of the FoH AI Competency Framework and preparations for its external validation by healthcare experts. Partners also reviewed progress on activities 2.6 and 2.7, alongside developments under Work Package 3 (WP3), including activities 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3.
These activities contribute to the project’s overarching objective of equipping healthcare professionals with the knowledge, practical skills and ethical awareness required to navigate the growing integration of Artificial Intelligence into healthcare services.
The partnership continues to emphasise human-centred care, responsible AI adoption and the importance of professional judgement in an increasingly digital healthcare environment.

Enhancing Dissemination, Quality Assurance and Future Collaboration
The meeting also addressed the project’s communication and dissemination activities, quality assurance processes, administrative matters and upcoming milestones.
Partners discussed improvements to the FoH project website, including the introduction of a newsletter subscription feature to strengthen engagement with healthcare professionals, educators and other interested stakeholders. Preparations for the second project newsletter and project-related scientific publications were also reviewed.
Further discussions covered the work of the Quality Assurance Committee and Steering Group, risk monitoring, administrative reporting and the coordination of future activities in accordance with the project timeline.
The partners also considered preparations for the next transnational partnership meeting, reaffirming their commitment to effective cooperation and the timely delivery of project results.
Through continued collaboration, the Future of Healthcare project aims to support the digital transformation of healthcare education and professional development, fostering a healthcare workforce that is better prepared to use AI responsibly, effectively and ethically.
